Organized religion has used a patriarchal deontological structure to dominate our world and utilize it as a profit- and testosterone-generating engine. This has restrained humans’ moral and intellectual development well behind our technological development, preventing us from ever attaining the moral or intellectual capacity to effectively meet our own needs or form community, and thus throw off the yoke of blind exploitation by colonialist father-figures.

Premise:
Religion, as a functional community-building structure and a support for humans' esoteric and existential needs, can be a boon to humanity if it is engaged in as a project and a practice, with continual input and refinement from its constituents.

Premise:
Quality human tools and practices should not simply be surrendered to the control of oppressors and predators, but can be turned to positive ends if utilized with care, intersectional conscientiousness, and intellectual honesty. It is, in fact, possible to form a community organized around supporting humans’ esoteric and existential needs that does not seek to exploit them.

Conclusion:
The world “ended” already, without anyone apparently noticing.
We live in the wasteland, eating garbage and watching the survivalist farce stagger toward complete dissolution.
